prompt 2

Well I'm a political science major so i definitely have a lot of opinions. I really don't mind sharing my opinions and beliefs with other people; everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I actually like it when people bring up taboo subjects, its interesting to know every ones view points and what their beliefs are. I believe that peoples beliefs represent who they are as a person. I don't really believe that some people's beliefs are shaped by their religion and family values. I myself am pro choice but also catholic. I choose to be pro choice because its the woman who has to live with this decision for the rest of her life, not me. So why should I tell her what to do? Nobody should tell you what you can do with your body. Now i also believe that are certain limitations. If you are at least three months pregnant then you shouldn't abort. I encourage people to debate amongst their ideas, just as long as no one offends anyone or gets offended. This past summer i went to FIU's panther camp and a lot of this years hot topics where brought up. Like abortion, same sex marriages, different racial relationships and things to that nature. We had to say if we agreed, strongly agree, disagree, and strongly disagreed. It was interesting to see how differently people thought. I was surprised at most of the answers that i heard. I believe its extremely important to have a voice in everything you do. After all it is your life and you should dictate on how it is that you want to live it. All the opinions and stands i have are minuscule based on the opinions of others and families. I think everyone at some point believed in something because of their family and friends. However, as you get older your opinions will change, due to the experiences and things you have seen throughout your life. I have certainly think a lot about current issues because everything has some sort of impact on my life. If there is a law that states abortions are illegal, and god forbid i get raped tomorrow and get pregnant this issue would certainly affect me. I registered to vote the moment i turned 17 in school so when i turned 18 i would immediately get my voters registration card. I believe its every ones duty as a citizen to have a say in who will be basically leading their lives. It leaves me perplexed to see people who don't care about voting. But then its those same people who complain about everything, yet still don't care to have their say heard. As long as you don't offend anyone, your opinions should be shared amongst others. You never know if someone else view point is better.
